I’m fully convinced that many conservatives and Second Amendment supporters would back Donald Trump even if he came out and said he supported an assault weapons ban and red flag gun confiscation. They would say he changed his mind and is now pro-gun, or that he really didn’t say what he said, or that he’s trying to play 3D chess and that it’s all part of his master plan to drain the swamp, or some other nonsense.
By the way, he has said that he was for an ‘assault’ weapons ban and red flag gun confiscation, and he did enact the bump stock ban while he was in office. And yes, this was during his presidential tenure.
It’s amazing that people blindly follow and refuse to see things as they actually are. None of these people (democrat or republican) give a damn about you or me, and it’s all a show to keep us occupied and thinking that our vote really means something. They are selected, not elected, and that should be obvious to anyone and everyone by now. I don’t like either political party… however, if I had to choose someone, I’d go with Marjorie Taylor Greene or Rand Paul. Both are better that the two they are offering now at the voting booth. However, neither are running and even if they were then they would not get anywhere… because the “winners” are selected not elected.

You’re right MD, most people don’t really want freedom. I used to work at a place where many employees complained about their jobs nearly constantly. Problem was, that work place paid pretty well and most of its employees willing signed for loans and mortgages based on the maximum their income could handle. When ever a force reduction came around, the company would ask for volunteers before they forced layoffs. Extremely few ever volunteered. I’d say, the prison gates are open! You are free! Who wants to go! No body wanted to go. They would fight amongst each other about who got to stay. Too addicted to debt and easy money. Just like our nation at large.

IMHO I have to question if it is not all an act? Even though I have voted for Trump twice, I have always asked “is he playing a role, is he controlled opposition”? When I look at politicians, even the “good” ones, I have to ask, do they not see the mess? Why are none of them ever bringing up “Term Limits” if they want to represent the desires of the people. I have written to my “R” representatives and gotten outlandish responses back on the issue.
I was career military, but it was not until I attended and received an advanced degree in one of the military colleges that I became more acutely aware of how corrupt to the core world governments are. Poor men’s sons do fight rich men’s battles in the name of freedom, democracy, etc. etc., etc. The country I loved and sacrificed for no longer exists. That does not mean I have given up, but staring reality in the face makes some folks go into denial. Reality can become an inconvenient truth.
Trump’s a freak, he’s just part of the group, lifelong friends of the Clintons, voted democrat his whole life until he decided to run for president. Wake up people, he’s a fraud. MD, what is the point of this discussion? Are you trying to alienate your followers? If so, to what end? This is just stirring up division, which is what the overlords want. How does it hurt you, if we vote? Why not encourage voters, and non voters to prepare for the conflict that’s sadly, very likely in our future. I played a very small part in the last Trump Administration and can attest it was infiltrated from the beginning by the worst denizens of the swamp. Trump was naive and he made a lot of mistakes and you have millones=d just a few of the,.There are others. My best example is the appointment of both Brett Kavanagh and Amy Comy Bryant to SCOTUS. Yes, they are conservatives but not in the sense of Alito, Thomas and Gorsuch. My advice along with others was ignored. I am convinced now that Trump understands that he was sabotaged from the very beginning by neocons like Mike Pence. I believe he has learned, he has run the gauntlet and if by the grace of God he somehow regains the Oval Office we will see a cleaning like this nation has never seen before. I see my friend Ken Paxton as AG. I see Gen. Flynn At the Pentagon. I see Rand Paul at Treasure. I see the ATF being cleaned out. While the average person did not have the experts at their disposal that President Trump had, even we saw some poor choices he made that I just shake my head at. Specifically:
Julian Assagne who pretty much handed the presidency to Trump with WikkiLeaks – and now he sits rotting in jail. Trump never acknowledged him after taking office.
“Lock Her Up Hillary” whom Trump said after taking office that the Clintons were “good people.”
Then there was Judge Roy Moore of Alabama who was a staunch supporter yet got smeared by Lindsey Graham & Co. while the president never took up for him.
The victims of J-6 whom to this day I have not heard DJT advocate on their behalf.
And finally, the WarpSpeed of an “experimental” biological weapon that nonscientists like myself knew had not gone through any of the standard protocols before being unleashed on the world.
The above are just a few examples of the inconsistencies of the man. I also heard folks excuse Obama by saying he had “poor advisors”. I believe one president’s Motto was “The buck stops here.”
