After being away from it for several years, I have officially relaunched The Survivalist Blog.
You can find my new site here:
https://thesurvivalistblog.com/
Please notice that the address ends in .COM—not .NET.
Many longtime readers will remember the original Survivalist Blog that I founded and operated years ago. I later sold the .net domain name, and I no longer own or operate the website currently using that address. It is separately owned and is not affiliated with me.
My current site is:
TheSurvivalistBlog.com
I am rebuilding the site using some of the best preparedness, survival, homesteading, and self-reliance articles I have written over the years.
I am not simply copying and reposting the old material. I am going through each article, correcting errors, updating outdated information, replacing broken links, adding useful details, improving the photos, and making everything easier to read and use.
There are already 15 major articles published, covering subjects such as:
- Emergency food and water storage
- Medical preparedness when no doctor is available
- Staying warm during a long-term winter power outage
- Safe emergency cooking with propane
- Grain mills and processing stored wheat
- Homemade water filtration
- Building wooden box traps
- Practical firearms for preparedness
Common prepper myths that do not hold up in the real world
A complete Walmart preparedness checklist
More articles will be added regularly.
My goal is to rebuild The Survivalist Blog into a large, practical library covering preparedness, homesteading, emergency skills, food storage, water, backup power, security, and self-reliance.
This will not be another website filled with short, generic articles written by people who have never done any of this.
I have spent decades growing food, raising animals, storing supplies, testing equipment, living in rural Appalachia, writing preparedness books, and putting these skills into practice.
That real-world experience will remain the foundation of the site.
Take a look around, bookmark it, and share it with anyone interested in becoming better prepared and more self-reliant:

Thank you for continuing to read and support my work.
