King James I didn’t actually write the KJV he essentially had it translated to his liking and then gave his okay for it to be distributed. I put this article together because it seems that people assume that the king was a saint and a great Christian, and actually seem to be worshiping King James I. As far as the KJV I still read it but I understand from my research who King James I was and why he allowed this translation of the Bible.

Yes, an early diminishing of the English Constitution which hasn’t stopped to this day, not to mention normalising privilege over meritocracy. I’d be wary of Jim’s translation of the Bible, he was nothing if not sneaky. I’m aware one of the Commandments is incorrect, Thou shall not kill is in the Hebrew, Thou shall not murder. While a magnificent and worthy undertaking, the KJV was translated to suit the King’S ideology. The Jewish scholars have long upheld, there are numerous mistakes and downright departures from what we know as the “Old T.” Many many words throughout the text simply do not propetly translate from Hebrew and Greek, to the English version(s). The New T. is also subject to much debate, such as there being several “Books” that were excluded because the King didn’t like them for various reasons. Other issues are passages don’t line up with the Christ’s teachings or his words. Still, in spite of all those issues, it is the greatest book ever written. We can draw nearer to God through its teachings. Without it? Well, simply put, we are where we are in America right now….

King James was just King at the time. The Puritans (Pilgrims) petitioned King James for the KJV to be written. They do not get much credit however which is wrong in my opinion.
