Stress and What I do About It!

January 8, 2023 M.D. Creekmore

We all know that life is stressful and can at times be EXTREMELY stressful! And some people deal with stress much better than others. However, for me it depends on the trigger even, in other words it depends upon what is going on in my life that determines my stress level…

For example someone in my close family had a medical issue show up recently, and it’s still ongoing, and that is one of my BIGGEST stress triggers, and yes, I’ve been stressed to the max lately.

Thankfully, it’s looking like it might not be life threatening, however, we have to get another test done and see the results before knowing for certain. So still stressful but not as much right now…

And then I’ve been looking at a property with two mobile homes and 20-acres… that’s in Kentucky. Ninety-five percent of my kin folks like in Kentucky actually. And while I have a good place and tank God for it, I have to admit that having 20-acres and move level area to work with beats my 3-acres of steep hillside…

However, I’ve messed up before when it’s came to choosing, buying and moving to a new property and fear doing it again and I’m not getting any younger so I don’t have but maybe one more move in me at this point.

And then there is the state of the economy, the housing market, and the possibility that I couldn’t sell the one that I have now to pay off the other… since I DO NOT want to be in any debt!

And we all know that the world is basically unraveling and the string is about to break! Corruption in government, the economy, open border, supply chain issues, the whole WOKE agenda, the globalist take over, the AI threat, world war three, and on and on… it’s a jungle out there!

And let’s not forget the stress of dealing with YouTube’s “community guidelines” and trolls and even harassment from people who think that they are hidden behind a fake name and profile photo.

Then there is the stress of running an online business with no help what-so-ever.  I come up with the ideas, the content, do the editing, comment moderation… everything, since this is a one man operation and have to do it over and over and over again.

And after doing all of that I still get the trolls and welfare preppers who think that I should send them free copies of my books at my expense! And then they get pissed when I say no, and processed to go on the attack and do everything in their power to cause me trouble and to destroy everything that I’ve worked so hard to do.

So, how do I deal with all of this stress you ask… that’s a good question.

First off prayer helps a lot. I pray for strength and guidance. Staying busy and taking walks are also a huge help. And I take two herbs that work great when I take bother together… Nature’s Way Valerian Root and Nature’s Way Premium Herbal St. John’s Wort.

I take one of each three times a day and it certainly helps with my stress and anxiety. How do you deal with your stress? Let me know in the comments below and maybe you can help others who read your comment to use what you’ve learned to help themselves.

MD, we hope that you can see in these many thoughtful comments how much we all care about you and pray for your continued success! Close the door to yesterday and immerse yourself in the joy of expressing your highest self in the present moment (which is our only reality). “Be anxious for nothing… tomorrow will take care of itself.”

Having family close by is essential to everyone’s mental health and wellbeing ( providing they’re not toxic ). I pray your family in Kentucky will help you move back there, especially because of the way the world is turning, the quicker this is accomplished the better off ye be, in my humble opinion. I’m sure you ask God for His help on a daily basis in navigating your way through this situation, guiding your compass in the right direction and on the good path. Being all alone and doing things by your self is great, independence is a must, but after many years of doing it alone, for myself, I’m finding that I’m reaching out to others more and more; I’m not an island, I do need help. Asking others for prayers and support is getting me to understand that, if I ask, people will reach out and help. I just need to accept it ( being introverted doesn’t help much, either ). Walking for hours upon hours in the woods near a river sincerely replenishes and restores my energy levels and my soul. Compared to being in a crowded mall or street ( i get bent out out shape, very uncomfortable), just doesn’t do it for me. I’m a solitary figure but once in a great while I am invited or invite a close friend to tea time, either at my house (very rarely) or at a local Tea Room ( and antiquevintage clothing shop). I know how lonely life gets without loved ones around, especially some one to care for you day in and day out. I will continue to pray God continues to bless your path and move your feet in the right direction. In Jesus’ Holy Name I pray, Amen. Take care, MD, there are so many people out there that love and care what happens to you, brother. God bless 🙌 🙏

If it was me, and it was a option,I might consider making a offer on the property, contingent on the sale of what you currently have..If really on the fence, make it a low-ball offer..
Guess it depends on how much flat land and family weigh in the decision..

The trolls are going to be trolls, pathetic individuals that are more than likely jealous of what you have accomplished… Begging is pathetic and shows a complete lack of self worth…

Your perspective is something I look forward to in these days of “What is right is wrong”

It also seems to calm my anxiety and taken before bedtime or if I wake up during the night and can’t fall asleep again. It is certainly worth having on hand. Kentucky, 20 acres and closer to family sounds great. How I deal with stress?
Trust my instincts, take a day or hour
at a time, focus on only my responsibilities or jobs or feelings rather than get distracted by the drama of others. Read a good book that has nothing to do with anything to improve myself. An adventure or survival story or an autobiography of historical events. It puts things in perspective.

Yes! Valerian root is a good one! I usually handle stress pretty well because of my low key nature, but I find that prayer and a good workout really helps. I’m 49 and at this point I’ve learned not to worry so much about what people think about me anymore. Ignore those trolls!! There’s always some obnoxious person around to try and bring others down and create problems. They’ll eventually go away. Hang in there, you’re a good man! We’re rooting for you!!!

Well MD I’m retired LEO, and have been a Realtor for 20 years. I’ve advised my builder not to build anything, and have cautioned all buyers that I wouldn’t do anything with these rates and to proceed with extreme caution if they choose to do so. I have all your books and have paid for them :). I wouldn’t consider moving unless you feel you can take a loss as compared to what you could get in a normal market. The thing folks need to realize is that those who could have bought your home a couple of years ago can’t at this time because they have been priced out of the market due to increasing rates.

Wish you luck in getting past the stress which seems to come more than it use to. So many stressors in this world these days. Thanks for the advice in overcoming .

Sounds like you have plenty of equity so I would let it stop me realizing as you said, it will probably take a while. Have to decide which one you want the most.

Moving is stress. You admit to being fulfilled. Why change?

        1. East Coast USA could be targeted in WW 3. How far are you from DC or any Virginia Federal Agencies? Military Targets within 50 to 100 miles
        2. Within 75 miles of Major populations?
        3. Are you able to sell your property with a 15 day all CASH ESCROW?
Moving to safe Kentucky and family would be BETTER FOR YOU. Allegedly.

MD, you can’t fathom how many CASH buyers there are in the marketplace today! People from Cali and affluent cities are searching for rural retreats. Anything under 1/2 million $ is chump change to them. Have a vision of what you want your outcome to be and the faith that God will bring it to pass in ways you could never imagine. You will know if you are proceeding according to His will if things start falling into place almost miraculously. If you encounter trouble, roadblocks, stress, etc… you can be sure you are exerting your own will and may be out of synch with your greater good and your timing isn’t right. Follow your heart and passion for the expression of your life’s purpose. Fast and pray and God will give you your answers through His Living Word ~ the Sword 🗡 of the Spirit ✨.

YES… FASTING at this time is SO important. And you might need to fast from social media to calm yourself in this world of stress. Many churches including mine are in a 21 day fast. Ck out Free Chapel on YT, Sundays at 9am and 11am your time, and jump on in and do some fasting and spend more time in prayer at this time. I do not think that moving right now in such high stress is a good idea. You are more prone to making wrong decisions. I watch your YT videos and can sense the stress in you. I am there also… I am holding you in prayer. Also keeping your family member in my prayers.

Thanks for sharing! We are all in the same boat of stress though some boats have more baggage than others. For me, prayer is the key!
    Philippians 4:6  Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;
Then, after I am calm I’m in a better condition to think and act in the best way that I can. When peace passes, I need to back up and start again.
This life is a battleground, for sure! Just realizing that and knowing that everyone else has their battles, too, helps knowing you’re not alone on this life adventure.

Well MDC, that is a difficult decision for sure.
I as well loathe debt so that complicates your life as well.
Your place is fitted out very well, and you have accomplished
so much on your present property. You are still young enough
to take some risks. However, this doesn’t seem a great time for
taking risks now does it. Again, tough decision. If..If you want to
be with kin, and are up for starting over improving a new place
then go for it. Also, you might find a new partner/woman to
    share your time with.
Stress? Debt is stress, my worst kind of stress. All and all, I am
a fairly happy person. My man had a surgery and is still on restrictions.
Soon that will pass and he will go back to trucking for a few years
yet. I am quite happy to be alone for a bit, and my satisfaction
comes from daily life, chores, and my pets. I have a few hobbies,
growing plants for the garden, flower areas, and I like a very clean
and tidy home. For me, managing those relieves much stress.
Further, we just took my Mother in and it is quite a challenge.
I like to live well and one day at a time. I sleep well because I get
quite tired. My biggest pleasure is reading. Those all take my mind
off the world going to hell in a hand basket…and I love the quiet
rural lifestyle. I would never want to live in a city again even if it
were for free. When we first started out here I would hear the whippoorwills at dusk but they have left, that makes me sad. The
inhumanity displayed by the jab push really makes me sad too.
The push for war for profit is flat out disgusting…and makes all
people with heart sad also. Do what can make you happy MDC,
will make you happier and less sad. Life is short. God Bless you
    dear man.

MD, you have created a name/brand for yourself, from your own resourcefulness and hard work, which is helping so many people. You could easily market your Tennessee property through your YouTube channel or list it for 1% on Redfin. You could possibly do a ‘contingency’ contract on the Kentucky property to ensure a smooth transition and sale of your TN property. Your brand and property is very valuable as people leave urban/blue cities in search of survivable situations for their families. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. Godspeed MD, you are in our prayers always!

God helps me with my stress! He’s helped me this weekend with a stupid eye injury I got Saturday. My vision is improving (thank you God)! My animals also help, watching my silly goats run around sideways 😂 I will pray for you!
As for the property in Kentucky, sounds great being near family! And the property, 20 acres, you could do a lot with that! Maybe try putting your property on the market and see what happens? If you have no bites or too many low balls just take it off the market. But if it’s meant to be, someone could be waiting for an opportunity and may make a great offer and you can buy the Kentucky property. You won’t know unless you try and if no bites you have your answer all without risk. Perhaps you have found out about it because it’s God’s will to get you near family.
As for the trolls, just reply, that is for your opinion and then block them, no one needs extra stress from anyone at this point, there’s enough going on to stress about. I can tell you’ve been going thru a lot with your writings. Again, I will pray for you and your family member! God bless!
