I currently keep a 12 ga. shot gun with a nice blend of 00 buck and #4. I have the shells alternated. The shotgun is on a rack in a utility closet in the bed room. Takes simple hop and skip to get to it. On the outside of the bed room in the family room is the bed for my 110 pound hound. I also keep my .40 S&W next to the bed.

I’m on board with your setup. Mines the model 17 Glock with 32 rd mag. and 2 extra 17 rd mags. Also a Mossberg 930 8rd semi-auto loaded with 00 BUCK, altered with BB SHOT 2/8rd quick strips. 2 hand held 1500 lumen rechargeable flashlights. I don’t like lights on weapons.
